USF IT Services
Research Computing Core Facility

Research Computing Core Facility has been established to promote the availability of high performance computing resources essential to effective research at the University of South Florida. RCCF supports software tools, high performance computer hardware, and training for both faculty and students.

UNIX Systems Group

USG provides student email, blogging, computer security, virus protection, student file storage and web services, research and academic web hosting, and UNIX and Linux support services.

Netcast

Our netcast team provides video streaming over the web.

Wireless

Wireless networking service around campus both indoors and out.

Open Use Labs

We maintain the open use lab in the Information Commons and gather information on open use labs around the university.

USF Computing Resources
CTE

The Center for 21st Century Teaching Excellence at the University of South Florida was established to promote personal reflection and scholarly dialogue on the art, science and craft of university teaching.The Center sponsors publications, workshops, and research which critically examine and promote instructional excellence.

Educational Outreach

Educational Outreach provides academic support services for credit and continuing education programs. We facilitate the integration of technology in both face-to-face and distributed instruction. We also coordinate noncredit continuing education and lifelong learning programs ranging from workforce development training to personal enrichment classes to international conferences for visiting faculty and scholars.

FCIT

Florida Center for Instructional Technology participates in University wide collaborative efforts to assist all faculty at USF. Drawing on our strengths in Instructional Technology, we provide many skill building and informative workshops on the uses of technology for teaching and learning. We also mentor and assist any faculty member at USF that requests our help.

Health Sciences Center IS

Health Sciences Center Information Services provide timely quality service to all of their customers within the Health Sciences Center, by prudent utilization of available resources for the purposes of: Providing for access while protecting the security and integrity of their networks, applications, and data. Prudently pursuing new technologies and new horizons. Practicing continuous improvement. Remaining responsive to the evolving needs of the HSC community.

College of Engineering Computing

Engineering Computing is here to meet the needs of the faculty and staff in the College of Engineering and all undergraduate and graduate students. We operate open-access and teaching labs and provide network-based computing. We also provide access to engineering software applications, support application development and training and other computer-related help.

TSR

Technology Services and Resources (TSR) is a service-oriented organization that provides support for the technological endeavors of the faculty and staff of the College of Education. TSR is charged with infusing technology into the everyday administrative and instructional needs of the college. As a support unit for the College of Education exclusively, TSR is intimately familiar with the specific needs of the college's faculty and staff.

Computer Store

The USF Computer Store The computer store offers computer sales, support, and software available for purchase from their Web site and in the office. Desktop or laptop computers can be purchased at a discount to students, staff, and faculty. Their office also has staff on duty to assist in personal computer repair. Please visit their Web site to find out their current rates, or call them to find out. University licensed software, as well as education licensed software is available in the office, or you can reserve a copy online. The USF Computer Store's office is on the second floor of the Marshall Center Bookstore.
