How to Create Flash Cards

Below is the multi-step process that instructors may use to create and link flashcards to their course.
[edit] Enable the Flash Card Module
- Sign-in to Blackboard.
- On the blackboard "Welcome!" tab, click "Contents" in upper right corner.
- Scoll through the list of modules until you see "Virtual FlashCards".
- Check the box.
- Click "Submit".
- Click "Ok".
[edit] Creating a Stack of Flashcards
- Create a set of cards within the module by clicking "Create Flashcards".
- Name the set, classify the set.
- Make them shared flashcards so that you may link to them later from inside your course.
- Now, once you finish creating a set of flashcards, click "Complete Stack".
[edit] Finding the Link to the Stack
- Click "Search Flashcards".
- Enter the name of the set that you created.
- Click "Search".
- Right-click on the link to the set of cards that you created.
- Left-click "Copy Shortcut".
- Paste the link to a temporary location (i.e. A word document or notepad).
[edit] Creating an External Link within your Course
- Go into the course where you want the flashcards to appear.
- Click "Control Panel".
- Under Content Areas, select the content area where you want to put the link to the flashcards.
- Click the "+ External Link" button at the top of the list of other items.
- Label your link (i.e. Flashcards: Chapter 1)
- Paste the link acquired from the previous set of 6 steps into the URL field.
- Enter a description if you would like.
- Click "Submit" once you go through the other options, defaults should be fine.
