[edit] What Is Blackboard
The term Blackboard here at USF is loosely used to refer to myUSF, the USF Academic Portal. However, Blackboard may also be used to refer to Savant, a Blackboard installation that allows for participation by non-USF users. Blackboard is the software that runs USF's academic portal at my.usf.edu as well as our specialized Savant server. The Savant server is used for research and other activities that require access to the system for individuals who are not members of the university community as students, faculty, or staff.
